On Tuesday, the Minister of Higher Education, Rajendra Vishwanath Alelekar, was described on Tuesday by the Supreme Court, who was looking for the exclusion of Chief Minister Pinaayi Vijayan from the selection process for the appointment of Vice -Presidents (VC) to two state universities.
When he spoke with reporters, the Minister said the LDF government does not want to transform university campuses in the state into “conflict zones”.
She said she should deal with the matter of consensus and added that the Governor’s action at the Top Court was “highest regrettable”.
“I am very proud to have become a digital university only because of the main Minister Pinarayan’s initiative,” she said.
Any attempt to maintain cm from the university procedures is “very childish and unfounded”, the Minister of Education said.
On Tuesday, Mr. Alelekar moved the Supreme Court looking for the exclusion of the main Minister Pinaayan Vijayan from the selection process of the Vice -Chairman for the Technology University of APJ Abdul Kalam and Keral Digital University.
The governor, who is also the Chancellor of both State Universities, said that none of the universities assumed no role as the main minister in the selection procedure.
The application emphasized the role of the main minister in the entire selection process for the appointment of VCS for both universities and referred to “State of West Bengal v. Dr. Sanat Kumar Ghosh and others” whose instructions were used in the present case.
The application claimed that the involvement of the main minister would violate the principle against a person who assesses its own cause, which is the standard built into the regulations of the University Grant Commission (UGC).
The chief minister, who is the executive head of the state, is associated with the number of government universities, administered by the government and associated with the university. Under UGC regulations, the Chancellor cannot have any role at all, the application said.
