Corporation of the private health sector in the state increases health care costs for people, and this is the latest challenge facing the state sector of healthcare, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
On Monday, Monday launched 15 projects at Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical University Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

Using the KIIFB (Council for Investment Fund Kerala), the state has introduced development projects worth 62,000 GBP Crore over the past five years, of which £ 10,000 projects were in the medical sector, the main minister said.
Minister of Health Veen George, who chaired the post, said that many quarters tried to portray the Kerala health sector as “grossing”, but that government hospitals meet the requirements for health care of ordinary people.

New departments such as critical care, genetics, geriatrics and pediatric intervention neurology have been launched.
