Three people, including a one-year-old girl, were killed on a car that traveled to a government bus parked on a road at Tiruchi-Chennai National Highway in Siruganur on Monday hours (September 1, 2025).
The police identified the deceased as S. yhodh (31) of Pudhupatti in the Tenkasi district, her one -year -old daughter Anuvanjan and S. Vijay Babu, 31 of the car, M. Joseph, and the fourth passenger, M. Selvakumar, husband Yashodhy.
Police sources said the car was on the way to Chennai of Tenkasi, when the incident occurred around 1.30 in the morning, a government bus that developed a technical hitch, was parked on the road.
The driver of the car reportedly overtaken the vehicle that advanced forward and thrust into the stationary bus from behind and killed three people on the spot.
The injured were considered an ambulance. Police are investigating Siruganur.
