The members of the YSRC (YSRCP) Congress (YSRCP) from the Visakhapatnam region organized extensive inspection meetings on Sunday to discuss various local issues and ongoing political development in the district. The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the district district of YSRCP KK Raju and attended the head of the head of the Botcha Satyanarayan, former Minister Gudivada Amarnath and other party leader.
During the meeting, Mr. Satyanarayana strongly condemned what he called the “political drama” surrounding the privatization of the steel plant Visakhapatnam. He said that VSP has a sentimental value not only for North Andhra, but also for the whole state of Andhra Pradesh. He criticized the NDA government and pointed out that despite the promise to protect VSP from privatization from the elections, he acted negligently in this matter. He added that YSRCP will soon formulate an action plan that will oppose privatization. As part of this plan, a meeting at a round table will be arranged, called the leader of the parties and representatives of the trade unions fighting this matter.
The leaders also discussed the assignment of Prime Visakhapatnam Land to private entities, such as the Lulu group. They condemned the transfer of Beach Road assets at nominal rates and decided to start massive protests over this question.
Several YSRCP companies emphasized the lack of development work in their departments because the NDA took over the municipal company. In response to this, the party decided to submit to the district collector and sought immediate attention to the local development activities.
Mr. Satyanarayana, who addressed the party, said Yysrc has always acknowledged and encouraged his activists. He announced that the committees would soon be created from the stand to the district level to cover all the departments of the party’s structure.
Among the present were the former Hlas Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar and T. Nagi Reddy, former mayor of Golagani Hari Venkoi Kumari and GVMC YSRCP Banala Srinivasa Rao.
