At least two people were killed and five other injured in an explosion at a frog factory operating from a house in Gudamba Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow on Sunday.
The explosion in the Beht area in Gudamba around 12:00 also damaged neighboring houses.
According to ACP assistant (ACP) Anindya Vikama Singh, there was an explosion in the house where the Cracker factory operated.

Part of the roof collapsed after the explosion and captured at least two other individuals under the debris. There are rescue operations on the spot.
District judge Vishak G, who, together with higher police officials, visited the place of Blast, said “The condition of two injured remains critical. The remaining three injuries are stable.”
The explosion was so strong that it also influenced neighboring houses.
“At least four other houses besides the explosion were damaged during the explosion,” DM said.
“Our first priority is to ensure that the injured get enough medical care. Once it is done, our teams deal with the reasons for the incident and those involved in it,” he said.
The main minister UTTAR Pradesh Yogi Adityanath realized the incident and prolonged condolences to families of the deceased.
He also ordered officials to immediately address the place to speed up efforts and rescue.
