Minister of Medical Education Sharan Prakash Patil said on Saturday that the state government is working on specific plans to expand dental services to rural communities.
In an interview with the dental summit – 2025, organized by the Indian Dental Association in Bengalur, the Minister said that dental health has immense potential to provide people with quality health services. “Yet its reach remains a serious problem in rural areas,” he said.
He revealed that the government was planning several key initiatives, including the creation of a new dental board in a carnat. This State Council will operate in accordance with the National Dental Commission instructions, he said.
