Thendral Movement, a local NGO, in cooperation with Apollo Hospital (Chennai), organized a free medical camp for the SHOLAGA community and the inhabitants of Karited in Ranipet.
According to a press release, students of Madras School of Social Work (MSSW) in Chennai participated in a medical camp, which is part of a five -day rural exhibition camp. A team of specialists from Apollo hospital provided consultations and performed basic health checks.
Recipients were also offered drugs, health awareness and subsequent recommendations. The services were used by more than 250 villagers.
The program created awareness of preventive health care and solved key health problems in rural areas. She said she was well accepted by the Shohaga community and the inhabitants of Karived.
