Arshdeep Singh revealed how Mohammed Siraj helped him to cope during a difficult phase when he was limited to the side line on an Indian tour of England.
In the test series of five matches, Siraj appeared in every game as India as a tireless work horse, while Arshdeep did not receive a single opportunity, even with the injury of several Pacers and worries about Jasprit Bumhrah.
Make it even worse, Arshdeep suffered a left -inch injury This excluded him from the fourth and fifth test. After the tour without playing a single competitive match, the left -shouldor sailor has now returned to the Duleep Trophy action.
It represents the northern zone in their ongoing clash against the eastern zone in Bengalur before going to the UAE on Asia Cup.
“Mentally, in the last two months I have learned how to enjoy a boring time. In test crickets or red ball matches, there is a time to be bored. Just like lunch session, the ball doesn’t do anything … How do you like it?” Said Arshdeep on the edge of the ongoing Duleep Trophy.
“I was talking to Sraji, told me that if nothing happened, how you like this phase, he’ll tell you how successful you can be in a cricket of a red ball. He gave me this little tip and I really liked it.”
In the Duleep Trophy, North Zone finds herself firmly under control after creating a commanding lead of 563 runs with eight goals still intact in her second shifts. Previously, their pitchers caused a dramatic collapse and released the East Zone to 230 by taking the last six goals to just 30 runs.
“The same happened here. They (East Zone) were just four goals down and the ball did nothing. So it was the main motive … how to enjoy each other. So the results came,” he added.
The Asian Cup starts on 9 September, with India will be 10 September to play its opening match against UAE.
