British Airways announced on Friday a supplementary program of travel assistance to students for Indians passengers in the upcoming reception season to Great Britain
The free dedicated service for students will include a number of benefits, including a reserved check -in table, details for searching through the airport and instructions for converting on arrival to Terminal 5 Heathrow, the airline said.
The service will be available at all five Indian airports, of which the airline operates flights, ie Dilli, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. British Airways operates 56 flights a week of these airports. The service will operate from 29 August 2025 to 31 October 2025.
The data for the first six months of 2025 show that the Indians represented 24% of the total international students in the UK, with the release of 98,014 visas and created the second largest group of Chinese students, whose number was slightly higher at 99,919 visas. In recent years, however, there has been a consistent decrease in their income after stricter visa standards. Half an annual number 2025 for Indian students issued by study visas is a decline of 11% in the same period in 2024. New immigration curbs in British foreign postgraduate students will not be able to bring dependent persons for nonseearch courses. Processes of applications were made stricter and working hours after study were shortened from 24 months to 18 months.
