Cyberabad traffic police urged schools to take over a more active role in alleviating traffic overload around campuses and U-web, emphasizing the need for timing, greater relying on school buses and stricter security checks for traffic staff.
These measures were discussed at a coordination meeting on Friday, August 29), chaired by the Police Commissioner Cyberabad Commissioner (Operation) Gajarao Bhupal and participate in school heads and representatives of management from all over the city.
One of the key recommendations was to encourage more students to use school buses rather than private cars, which officials said they would significantly reduce the rush of the vehicle during top hours. The correct planning of the bus routes was also emphasized to prevent more buses to push the same sections of the road, which is a common cause of narrow places.
To further alleviate overload, the police proposed stunning timing of schools so that institutions in the same locality do not release students at the same time. The parents were asked to limit the use of private vehicles, accepted car associations, and participated in the programs of raising awareness of traffic management.
Ensuring the safety of schoolchildren was another area of focus. Police emphasized the need for regular tests of drivers and conductors of bus and assured that traffic staff would provide help in signposts and regulate the movement of school buses during the top hours.
The meeting was attended by Madhapur Traffic DCP Sai Manohar, ACP Chandrashekar Reddy, CEO Cyberabad Security Council Navared Khan and representatives of several leading institutions, including Sancta Maria International School, Delhi Public School (Nanakramguda), Oakridge International School) School, Phoenix Greens International School, Pallavi International School, Sriram International School and others.
