The opposition leader in the Assembly of R. Ashok demanded on Thursday that the head of the KPCC and the Deputy Minister DK Shivakumar offered an apology for the “injury of the Hindes sentiments” by making a statement that the Chamundeshware temple in Mysuru is not “the property of the Hindu.”
The leader of the BJP, who spoke at a press conference at the State Secretariat, claimed that the Congress Government “insulted Hindy” by ordering the SIT probe with regard to the alleged bulk funerals in Dharmasthale and the Chamundeshwari statement in Mouse.
“If Mr. Shivakumar says Chamundi Hills is not the property of Hindu, is it the property of the WAQF Council?” The leader of BJP asked.
He noted that Mysuru Wadiyars had worshiped Chamundeshwari as their family deity for several centuries, Mr. Shivakumar aimed at “Muslim’s satisfaction”.
The BJP leaders decided that the Karnatak government had injured sentiment by inviting the writer of Cannady Banu Mushtaq to the Dasar Festival.
DKS to keep mum
Meanwhile, after criticizing the congress and opposition about several questions, including the singing of the RSS anthem in the assembly, Mr. Shivakumar said that he would observe the silence and that the party spokesman could be appealed to comments on any subject.
The visibly upset representative of the main minister told reporters on Thursday, “You know people do not tolerate when I talk about some facts.”
He also said, “The only job of some people is to find a mistake in what I say. It is better not to speak. There are other leaders and a party spokesman. You (reporters) are better talking to them.”
The reporters turned to Mr. Shivakumar, who was looking for his response to the National Secretary General of BJP Bl Santhoshos, who focused on Rahula Gandhi for the alleged “forced” Mr. Shivakumar to apologize for singing the anthem of the RSS in the Assembly.
