“Now our sisters and daughters have begun to take drugs. BJP was looking for voices named Ladli Behnas (the name of the popular social care system for women). The situation has happened that intoxication in women in MP is the highest in the country,” he said.
‘Shameless comments’
Several leaders of BJP, including Mr. Yadava, intervened back to Congress on Tuesday and claimed that Mr. Patwar “offended” the woman’s women “called drunks”.
“Jitu Patwari has made several shameless comments against women. The National President of Congress should apologize and remove from the contribution to the one who offended Madhya Pradesh’s sisters,” the chief minister said.

But Mr. Patwari refused to apologize for his notes and said it was his responsibility to raise public questions.
“Your government has taken the sale and liqueur consumption at the highest in the country. All BJP leaders sell alcohol. I shouldn’t increase your voice against it?” Mr. Patwari said as he asked why pictures of different BJP ministers appeared with drug mafia and liqueurs.
He also quoted the National Family and Health Survey-5 (2019-2021) report to claim that “1.6% of the state of women consume alcohol, including 2.1% of rural and 0.6% in urban areas” and that data in rural areas have increased compared to NFHS-4 (2015-16).
