Kishan Reddy criticizes CM Revanth Reddy, says State running central funds

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy stated that contrary to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s allegations against the Modi government, the Congress government is maintaining its day-to-day governance only on the basis of funds, financial assistance, welfare programs and loans provided by the central government.

Speaking to the media at the BJP state office on Sunday, he said the Congress government had completely failed to implement the poll promises and hence “frustration and dejection” were clearly visible on the chief minister’s face. The farming community was taken for a ride as paddy rice paddy growers of fine or coarse varieties did not get the ₹500 bonus. He alleged that ₹15,000 in financial assistance and ₹12,000 to agricultural laborers had been forgotten.

Mr. Kishan Reddy said that he did not need a certificate from Mr. Revanth Reddy for the services rendered to Telangana as a Union Minister and warned that stooping down to personal level in political discourse is harmful for democracy. “The people of Telangana are watching the comments he makes about me and the public is well aware of the projects, funds and development initiatives I have secured,” he said.

“24 Hour Countdown”

The minister said that a ’24-hour countdown to yoga day’ event will begin at the Lal Bahadur Stadium on June 20, followed by a major yoga event on June 21 at 7 am. He invited people from all walks of life including students, youth, employees, women and senior citizens to participate in the Yoga Festival.
