
The Kerala Government has granted a major approval to use the £ 1,500 GBP for a government guarantee from Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) to complete houses under the project of the project for which construction is under construction.
According to earlier estimates, the government intended to complete one lakh houses as part of the financial year 2024-25. However, due to lack of funds, this objective cannot be achieved.
Currently, there are a total of 1,27,601 houses, including 95,922 houses that could not be completed in the previous year, as well as 31,679 houses planned for 2025-26, at various stages of construction. For this purpose, the amount of 1,100 GBP Crore is required.
Help to local bodies
In addition, it is for the provision of local bodies that provide houses for the next number of planned castes and planned recipients’ tribes. The government has now approved a total of 1,500 GBP as a loan, of which 750 Crore will be used in the current year and remaining in 2026-27.
The loan will be paid off from the development fund of the local authorities for 15 years.
