Up to 300 students of Avanthi Engineering and Pharmacy College donated blood in a special camp organized by Brahma Kumaris
The blood camp was organized on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the death of Rajyogini Prakashamani, who dedicated his life for charity programs in the country. Brahma Kumaris Peth BK Shiva Leela said that every young man can donate blood four times a year, and the blood donated by a person can save 12 lives and victims of traffic accidents.
The chairman of the Avanthi Group and former Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that charity activities and meditation and other activities of Brahmy Kumari educate students about the importance of humanity.
NTR Memorial Trust Doctor K. Somasekhar said that every student whose hemoglobin is more than 12.5 grams can donate blood for every three months. He asked girls to have healthy food to reach 12.5 levels outside hemoglobin because he was below 9 gm among many girls.
