Member of the Secretariat of the State Secretariat CPI (m) Ch. Babu Rao said on Sunday that Rivulet, the Budmer Rivulet, remained a disaster for the inhabitants of Vijayawady and its surroundings, because the government could not carry out permanent repairs a year after it flooded some parts of the city like never before.
The state government has applied for a CRORE 6,880 GBP to strengthen the Canal System Budamer system, but the center has not released a single Rupe to this day, Mr. Babu Rao claimed to address the media in Vijayawada.
Mr. Babu Rao said that CPI (M) will launch a week of August on August to put pressure on the government to take steps to protect people from Budamera floods in the future. He remembered that the Lakhs were displaced and about 50 people died when Rivulet received an unprecedented tide of 31. August and 1 September in 2024, because the government did not issue advanced warnings. There was also a huge loss of real estate.
The inhabitants of several locations in Vijayawada and the NTR districts and Krishna were due to the flood fury at the destinations, he added.
