The Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Biological Diversity of Andhra Pradesh Neelayapal Vijay Kumar, who also serves as a spokesman for the Teluga State Desam (TDP), announced that the investigation of numerous alleged frauds in Tirumal Tirupati Devasthanam is considered responsible.
On Friday he spoke at the media conference and said that the NDA government undertook not only to restore the sacredness of Tirumal, but also to recover the confidence of countless devotees, which, as claimed, was shaken by the actions of the former regime. Specifically, he accused the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bhumany Karunakar Reddy of TTD President of the Incorrect Welcome TTD funds of CZK 2,000 GBP Crore through unplanned and unauthorized building engineering projects, including the demolition of the Govindaraja Chloudra building. “The ongoing probe reveals all the irregularities and ensures that the culprits face the law,” he said. Vijay Kumar referred them to the accusation of Mr. Karunakar Reddy’s corruption against the current chairman of Br Naidu as a “coating campaign”.
He also pointed out that Mr. Karunakar Reddy was forbidden by the Board of Directors to record his own resolutions on the TTD website. “It is ironic that he will now give us a lecture on transparency,” Mr. Vijay Kumar said.
Mr. Vijay Kumar added that the investigation would not only hold the political leadership responsible to the YSRCP era, but also the target officials who, as he claimed, agreed with them for personal profits.
