
Tamil Nadu The Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNNERC) granted the category-G license for domestic electricity trading across Tamil Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL).
TNGECL was awarded a license for trading with 500 million units per year. According to a petition filed by TNGECL, he intends to be a mediator for awarding public procurement. TNGECL will purchase energy from renewable energy developer (RPD) and will be sold by Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL), said.
The trading process for energy trading is designed to attract private investments in the renewable energy sector by ensuring financial security and at the same time helping the state to manage demand and achieve its goals, TNGECL said.
When granting a TNERC license, he rejected objections such as TNGECL, lacks a proven operational history and non -compliance with the loan assessment requirements, while quoting that TNGECL is a new entity segregated from Tangedco, which has shown its distribution in delivery distribution over the years.
