The Naval Council Andr Pradesh (APMB) and APM, a subsidiary of the Netherlands AP Moller Maersk, concluded an agreement on the development of ports and the creation of port infrastructure in the state.
The executives of the APMB and APM terminals signed a contract for the presence of the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naida on the Secretariat on Thursday.
As part of the agreement, APM terminals would create infrastructure (modern terminals, cargo -handling equipment, etc.) and to manage the upcoming Ramayapatnam, Machilipatnam and Mupet Seaports, the official edition said.
The Dutch giant of the naval sector would invested around 9,000 GBP Crore in the development of infrared ports of Andhra and created opportunities for employment and livelihood for nearly 10,000 people.
On this occasion, Mr. Naida emphasized the importance of creating an economic ecosystem controlled by naval ports that play a major role in development, looking for APM terminals to bring the integrated logistics framework, which covered freight transport by rail, roads, inland waterway and air.
The state should take advantage of the dependence of Telangana and parts of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Odisha on Andr Pradesh for his business.
