
On Thursday (August 21, 2025), the Srisailam Police registered the case against TDP MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy and his followers for the alleged attack and unlawful imprisonment of the forest staff in Shikharam on Tuesday evening (August 19, 2025).
The Association of Common Forest Officers AP (APJFOA) President of the Markapur unit Karimullah on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) claimed that the MLA and its followers were kidnapped and attacked by forest staff who were on duty in Shikharam’s inspection. The forest staff was reportedly taken in the vehicle around Srisailam, beaten and attacked for more than four hours.
Representative of the main Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, who is also a forest minister, seriously recorded an attack after the news became a viral on social media platforms. He asked about the incident and ordered forest officials to present a report on the involvement of the legislator and his collaborators.
The main Minister N. Chandrababa Naida also seriously marked the incident and ordered the police to register the case.
The Srisailam G. Prazada RA inspector registered the case according to sections 115 (2), 127 (2), 351 (2), 132 R/W 3 (5) BNS against Ashok Routh as accused-1 and Rajashekar Reddy as accused.
