: A special investigation group from Maharashtra on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) arrested a native of Koyilanda, allegedly involved in a large case of theft in Mumbai. The defendant Attavayalil Sujin Raj was transported to the bombay as part of the investigation.
Police sources said the man was suspected of participating in the theft of about 70 Lakh from the house. They added that for some of his close helpers who were in the crime, there was still a search.
Police in Mumbai set out on Sujin Raj after scanning the CCTV shots collected from various places around the crime scene. The local police in Kozhikode also helped confirm its identity and gave details of previously registered cases of theft against him in Kerala.
Police sources said the accused recently moved to Bombai for suspicious crime along with the local gang. They added that cases were registered against him at various police stations in the North Kerala and Mangalur district.
