Congress withdrew the disciplinary proceedings on Wednesday and renewed significant leaders from Periy, including the former Minister of the Congress Committee of Keral Pradesh (KPCC) Balakrishnan Periye, who were excluded last year.
President KPCC Sunny Joseph said that Mr. Balakrishhnan Periy, his brother C Rajan Periye, T. Ramakrishnan and Pramod Kumar Periye were taken back to the party. They were expelled after participating in the wedding reception of the son of the local secretary of the Indian Communist Party (Marxist), who was charged with the murder of the Sarath Lal and Kripesh Congress.
This step, which is preceded by the upcoming local elections in the body, is considered an attempt to consolidate a party in Periye.
President DCC PK Faizal confirmed this step and said that this happened with the consent of Rajmohan Usthan, a deputy who previously faced criticism in this matter.
Mr. Balakrishnan Periye welcomed the decision that he was determined to strengthen the party. “We have never acted in a way that weakens the congress even after expulsion,” he said.
