Japan: The US naval ship named New Orleans on Wednesday burned the prefecture of Okinawa in southern Japan, reported the public broadcaster NHK.
There were no reports of injuries, and vessels from Japanese forces are fighting for fire, NHK said.
No oil leaks were observed in nearby waters, Japanese Coast Guard said, according to Reuters.
