New Delhi: Cabinet on Tuesday cleaned two main infrastructure projects £9 814 Crore, approval of the development of the airport in the Green Pole in Kota-Bundi in Rajasthan and the construction of the six-short main circular road in Odisha, signaling strong pressure on regional connectivity and industrial growth.
“New Kota-Bundi airport, estimated. £1,507 crore, will be developed by the Indian Airport Office (AAI) on 440 hectares of land that has already been transferred by Rajasthan’s government, ”said Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Trade Union and Broadcasting, while dealing with decisions on cabinet sessions.
According to Vaishnaw, a device with a runway with 3,200 meters, seven aircraft bays and a 20,000 -square -meter terminal building on the basis of two million international and international passengers annually and will be completed in two years.

It will be able to operate the A-321 aircraft and will also satisfy freight transport, thereby increasing the Kota industrial base and its position of the leading Indian coaching center. The new equipment will be replaced by the existing KOTA airport, which has limited capacity due to its small size and surrounding urbanization.
“The expansion of air infrastructure in smaller industrial nodes is decisive to ensure balanced regional growth,” Vaishnaw said, noting that the new airport can also help attract new investments in production and services in the region.
The Indian air network has spread sharply and the number of operating airports increased from 74 in 2014 to 162 in 2025. The annual personal operation in the same period more than doubled from 16.8 crore to 41.2 crore, the Minister said.

The second project is £8 307 Crore Capital Region Ring Road in Odisha. It will extend 110.9 km, the six -way approach controlled access will be developed within the hybrid anuit model. Its aim is to avert commercial operation from the overloaded section of Rameshwar-Tangi, which passes through Khordha, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The matching will integrate with three national highways and once a state highway and connect 10 economic nodes, including a special economic zone, mega food park, textile and pharmaceutical clusters and four social nodes covering aspiration and tribal districts. This project is expected to generate nearly 1.7 crore people with direct and indirect jobs.
“This is the largest project in Odisha. It will provide a filler of logistics and connectivity,” he said.

Both projects are part of the government strategy to speed up the development of infrastructure in East and North India and equalize the growth observed in the western and southern regions.
The Cabinet has so far approved infrastructure projects worth £10,74 trillion focused on creating new opportunities for youth and middle class. These projects include significant developments at airports, ports, motorways, railways, meters, industrial intelligent cities, housing, hydroelectric power plant and carrying out throughout the country.
