With the approaching elections from local authorities, the District Congress Committee (DCC) accelerated preparatory works for elections in the Kottayam district. A meeting of DCC convened in the presence of the President of the Keral Pradesh Sunny Congress Committee Joseph here on Tuesday (August 19) reviewed the progress of various initiatives, including efforts to enter names in the voters’ list within the specified time.
Mr. Joseph, who launched a DCC leadership, said Congress and United Democratic Front (UDF) are well prepared for the upcoming elections.
“Extensive meetings at the Election Committee level are scheduled from 22 to 24 August, followed by meetings of the management of the department 25 August, 26 and 27. Visits of the house will be carried out by the leaders of Congress 29 and 31 and 31.
Mr. Joseph said KPCC also allocated Ward, Mandalam and Block Committee in preparation. This means the first time the state management has determined special funds specifically for preparatory activities, according to the party leaders.
The meeting was chaired by DCC President Nattakom Suresh. The meeting was attended by the presidents of congress election committees, blocked presidents, DCC bearers, KPCC members and district presidents of associated organizations, etc.
