India faces a narrow chain chain chain as the Chinese storage of export limitations on rare soil magnets that have affected the industry in India, including the production of electric vehicles.
The Union’s government responded to the question of Hyderabad Assaduddin Owaisi in Lok Sabha on the recent storage of export restrictions on key magnets of rare soils by China.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Trade and Industry Jitin Prasada pointed out that in an effort to evaluate the situation and find solutions, the government joined various parties.
“The ministry is working to ensure the resistance of the supplier chain for critical minerals, including the elements of rare soils used in the production of rare soil magnets, as they are key materials for different sectors, including electric vehicles,” he reads.
The Ministry also concluded bilateral agreements with countries with rich mineral sources such as Australia, Argentina, Malawi, Mozambique, Peru and Argentina.
A common enterprise called Khanij Bidesh India Limited was established to identify and obtain mineral assets in overseas, which “are of critical and strategic importance”.
