The Minister of Food and Civil Surgers Keraly Gr Anil said that the price of coconut oil sold via Supplyco can see a further reduction before the Onam festival.
On Monday (August 18, 2025), Mr. Anil said to the Mediaperons that on Tuesday, he would be at Kochi headquarters at Kochi to deal with a potential reduction in prices.
Currently, the internal brand Supplyco, Sabari Coconut Oil, is sold at a subsidized rate of 349 GBP per liter, while the non-wired rate is 429 GBP. In addition, Kera Coconut Oil, which has a maximum retail price of 529 GBP, is sold at a subsidized rate of 457 GBP. He said that these prizes are reviewed as part of the government strategy of market intervention to stabilize the basic level of commodities during the festive season.
“We actively cooperate with real manufacturers and distributors to ensure that high -quality coconut oil reaches consumers at the most affordable price,” he said.

The Minister also urged the public to remain careful about misleading ads promoting coconut oil at unusually low prices, such as 200 GBP per liter. He warned that such offers may include non -standard or falsified products.
“Some entities are trying to sell false coconut oil using deceptive demands. Food health and safety have already launched a strict action against such neglect,” he added.
