Nellangala rural police arrested five gangs for the defeat of two cows and storage of carcasses on Nelamangala-Aralasandra Village Road, Kasaba Hobli last week.
The accused sold the meat to the buyer from Kerala. They bought cattle from Shivaji Nagar and took it to the buyers in Nelangale. However, the buyers refused two of them because of their physical condition.
Instead of taking them back, the accused allegedly killed both cows and threw the carcass on the road and sent the rest of the load with the trader.
The incident came to light when two police staff who were on the patrol found carcasses with a slit of the neck and reported the incident.
Based on the complaint, the police registered the case against unknown persons who charge them according to the prevention of Karnatak for preventing the defeat of the cow and the preservation of the cattle law of 2020.
This problem was emphasized by a group of Vigilant and Hindutva activists in the style of themselves and was brought up in the ongoing assembly.
Police manager, Bengalur of the countryside, TA Baba, created two special teams that the accused had traced on the basis of technical evidence.
