Apple Intelligence will enable iPhone on iPhone, upcoming iOS 18.3 update. Apple announced changes to the iOS 18.3 release candidate (RC), which was launched to Beta users on Tuesday. So far, users have been asked whether they want to enable artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities; however, this is not the case. It is worth noting that the company is planning to use the next update for iPad and MAC devices.
Apple Intelligence will be enabled automatically using iOS 18.3
The tech giant explained the new changes in its iOS 18.3 RC release notes, highlighting how users choose whether to enable Apple Intelligence when updating iOS 18.3. This will only affect iPhone devices that currently support AI capabilities.
Apple said Apple Intelligence will be automatically enabled during the installation of the new update. This means that when the phone restarts, the user will discover all the AI features activated. However, this does not mean that these features cannot be disabled. The tech giant added that users can navigate to Apple Intelligence & Siri Settings Panel and close Apple Smart Switch to turn off AI features on their devices.
The new changes run counter to iPhone Maker’s previous policy, which gives users the option to use AI tools or not. This may be done when companies work on fixing bugs and failures and optimizing Apple Smart. However, the tech giant is confident in its in-house AI suite and hopes more users will adopt the technology.
However, the company did not mention whether Apple Intelligence will also re-enable users who have briefly turned on and manually re-enabled it.
It is worth noting that the iOS 18.3 update will not bring any major new features. However, it reportedly added some changes to the AI notification summary feature, which recently attracted Flak to generate a false summary of news headlines.
