
The Minister of Public Works PA Mohammad Riyas said that with the opening of two more bridges this month, the number of such structures built in the four and half -year term of office of the left democratic front (LDF) 150.
He was in Chembukadav in Kodenchery Gram Panchayat in the Kozhikode district to open a new bridge there. The Minister said that the government previously planned to build 100 bridges in its five -year possession. A special committee was created to check the status of bridges that would play a key role in the development of the state. These activities led to the completion of 150 new bridges, he said.
The collapse of the bridge insufficiently construction in Thorayikadav near Koyilanda said Mr. Riyas that the official measures would be taken against the Council report for the Keral Road Fund. The proposed Tunnel Road project connecting Wayanad and Kozhikode would strengthen agricultural and tourism, he added. The new bridge in Chembukadava through Chalippuzha is 55 meters long and 7.5 meters wide.
