
The UPPal police were arrested by a man for alleged kidnapping and murdering a five -year -old boy in KCR Nagar, Ramanthapur.
The accused, identified as Shams Qamar, at the age of around 19 years old, a native of Bihar, worked in a wooden depot next to the victim’s father, said police inspector K. Baskar.
“The boy disappeared on August 12 at around 3:30 pm, while playing near his house. His father filed a complaint next morning after he was not finding him search,” the officer said.
However, the CCTV from KCR Nagar and the surrounding areas saw a suspicious man who led the child away. “Qamar was traced and arrested on August 15 at around 8 pm during the interrogation, allegedly admitted that he lured the boy to a tree plantation near the statue of Ambedkar in KCR Nagar on the confusion of his biscuits,” the inspector explained.
The police said he confessed to killing a child by strangling him and fearing the exhibition after hiding the sexual intention against the child.
After the acknowledgment, the officers obtained the body of the child from the plantation. He was moved to the Gandhi Hospital for post-Mortal examination.
Qamar was booked according to sections 137 (2) and 103 (1) (1) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, together with Section 5 of the Reading Act on the Protection of Children from Sexual Criminal offenses (POŠO), 2012.
