On Friday, the foundation stone for the remaining and other works (second phases) was laid on the construction of 450 inpatient University Hospital in the Institute of Medical Sciences (Koims).
The Minister responsible for the NS Boseraju district laid the foundation stone in Koims in the presence of the Mlass Master Godwdy and as Ponna.
On this occasion, the Minister told doctors to provide quality health services to poor patients. “When high -quality health care reaches people in time, it brings a good name to the government. Therefore, doctors have to provide quality medical services,” Mr. Boseraju said.
Minister of Medical Education and District MLA worked hard to upgrade the Institute infrastructure, he added.
Mr. Ponnananna said that medical services should address all of them because all the necessary development work was carried out, while Mr Gowda said it was the duty of doctors to provide quality health care to poor patients.
The steps were taken to ensure the basic devices for various departments of the institute, including the MRI scanning unit, said Mr. Gowda, adding that the Cardiology Department would also be upgraded soon.
Mr Gowda also said that the hospital needed permanent doctors and called on the minister to take steps in this respect.
The upgrading work will be completed within 18 months and another CRORE 20 GBP will be sought for the development of the Institute of Medical Sciences, he added.
Steps to start the critical care center will also be taken, Mr. Gowda informed.
