The leader of the congress and Kalpetta Mla T. Siddique rejected the demands of the BJP leader Anuraga Thakura on inconsistencies in the voters’ list in the Wayanad Lok Sabha election district and called them “misleading and unsubstantiated”.
Mr. Siddique told MediaperSon on Thursday that BJP was trying to portray real voters as fake. “BJP claimed that Maimoon, the voter in the Eranad election district, had votes in three election cabins. However, it has now been shown that all three different people with the same name live in Arekode, Kavanur and Kuzhimanna Gram Gram Panchayats.
He pointed out that Chaunderi was not a surname. It was the name of a small locality. It was previously known as Chamundesware Kunn, Mla said. Mr. Siddique also demanded steps against Mr. Thakura for disseminating false information about voters.
