The recent loss of the ODI series in England, India, England, has not formed its trust in the Women’s World Cup T20 2025, said former captain and head coach Charlotte Edwards.
The hosts crashed into the ODI ODI series with a four -goal defeat in Southampton, but equalized the series with eight goals in Lord’s. India, however.
Despite the failure-after the 3-2 defeat in the previous T20i-Edwards series, he believes that the NAT SCIVER-BRUNT party remains strong candidates for the World Cup title, which begins on September 30.
She described the competition as a competitive challenge rather than a warning sign, noticing the proven ability of England to overcome the top teams on the day.
“We were massively invited (against India), so we want a female cricket,” Edwards quoted when he said at the BBC podcast Stummed.
“It wasn’t a control of reality. We know we can beat India. We’re going to the World Championship where we know if we play the best, we can beat any team,” Edwards said.
“England is working on their field”
Edwards launched its term of office like England Coach in style and supervised the clean sweeping of West India by winning all six matches in the home series of white balls. Just a few months later, however, the team got India control of reality, playing a key role in the field in failure. Edwards acknowledged the shortcomings and stressed that the platoon was working hard to get rid of its reputation for field fields.
“It’s something we are working on, we know we have the brand now. Sometimes I’m frustrated because we can drop one catch and we are marked as a bad team, even though we have otherwise built it.
“I’m sure we can get to a place where people speak really positively about our field,” Edwards added.
The Indian match against England at the Women’s World Cup is 19 October at the cricket stadium Holkar in Indore. Both teams will also meet in the 25th September match at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground in Bengalur.
