The Association of Higher Secondary Teachers (AHSTA) with the support of the assisted secondary teacher (AHSTA) claimed that the referendum planned by the Department of General Education before secondary school and higher secondary merger for the unification of the school is an anti -democratic.
In his statement, Ahst recently claimed that the referendum was to eliminate the organization of higher secondary teachers who hit problems and promotion of services in higher secondary sectors. Given that the situation in higher secondary – whether it is a curriculum, textbook, teacher qualification, appointment or plus one acceptance – differs from the secondary situation, its problems should be solved separately. When performing a referendum, it is necessary to take steps to recognize organizations of teachers with 25% representation in higher secondary sectors. The inability to recognize higher organizations of secondary teachers on behalf of organizations in public education cannot be justified. AHSTA demanded a referendum only for a higher secondary sector.
