Bengaluru Streets on Thursday were painted in tricolors before 79. The day of independence, while road stands and markets were busy trade in flags, stinging, caps and thematic goods when the city focused on celebrations of 15 August.
Shivajinagar and the KR market have undergone soft transformation. While the usual chaos of plant carts and flower stalls still prevailed, the stripes were predominantly characterized by tricolorical shades. Mobile trolleys carrying flags of all sizes flutter in the wind, while Street Hawkers introduced their latest tricolorical spells and small things and chased their customers.
For street sellers of these historical markets, independence day is much more than a celebration: it is a tradition packed in business. “We have been running this business for more than 40 years and it is the same kind of excitement you will see,” said Sadiq, who owns clothing trade along the KR market.
The goods have evolved along with badges, small flags and Gandhi Topis. Today, people are looking for LED lit bracelets, scrunches and telephone packaging, according to traders who see the season as the best for their business.
With digitization and online stores, it gains traction, Kashif, a shirt -trimmaster in Shivajinagar, emphasizes: “My brother and I print them and sell them on their WhatsApp channel to address more consumers,” he founded a trouble -free mix between the old and the new.
In the middle of increasing awareness and regulations, they gain popularity of ecological items. Cotton flags sewn in the tailings stripes of Shivajinagar began to compete with fast -produced plastic.
