Facebook seems to have experienced a temporary outage on Thursday. Several hundred users have reported disruption of DownDetector platforms to monitor the outage.
Hundreds report disruptions via Dowttector
According to the website, more than 400 users have marked social media platform around 16:35. DownDetctor data showed that 58 % of the complaints concerned the mobile application, 25 % concerned login problems and 17 % concerned the website.
The meta did not release statement at the time of writing. While disruption seemed to affect users across different parts of the United States, the exact scope of impact remains uncertain.
Users flock to x with memes and reactions
On the social media, especially on X, users quickly expressed their frustration, with many jokes, sarcastic remarks and memories of the outage. The common topics included exaggerated panic compared to “disconnecting from the world”, playful speculation about what caused downtime, and funny contributions comparing a outage with previous extensive disruptions on social platforms. Some users have published gif people frantically pressed the recovery buttons, while others shared popular reaction memes “I’m not just me”.
User X named Tyler Roney shared gif flamingos with a headline: “Anyone who comes on Twitter to see if Facebook is down. #Facebookdown.”
Another user published: “Brilliant, can’t log in to Facebook – must be down. Anyone else has the same problems?”
The account called Tea Storm Chasers wrote: “According to DownDetctor is a national outage for Facebook. Many users report Messenger down, business pages down, personal accounts or no access at all. There is no ETA to restore services.”
The X -called WebSitepulse account has published: “There are problems that #Facebook and #Messenger are problems. Many users state that they are logged out of the mobile app and cannot log back. The prompt recommends them to update the application or log in via the browser, but no possibility seems to work.
