The political temperature in Thrissur shows no signs of cooling as accusations of a large voter and manipulation list, and false vote escalated into legal and political confrontation with more parties. All three main parties – the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Indian Communist Party (Marxist) (CPI (M)) and Congress – are preparing to move the Election Commission and the courts with what they claim to be hard evidence of fraud.
The leader of the CPI and former Minister of VS Sunilkucar set the pace on Wednesday by submitting documents to the main election official. The State Secretary of the CPI Binoy Viswam left and demanded that the court probe with the Supreme Court monitor could, on the basis of what he calls “extensive voters’ desecration in Thrissur, allegedly implemented by Bharatiya Janata (BJP).

On Thursday he dealt with the media in Thrissur and Mr. Viswam accused the Minister of Union Suesh Gopi of playing the “central role” in manipulation. “His stone silence speaks of volumes. He would have rushed to comment on each problem.
