Farmers, tenants farmers, agricultural workers, workers and public associations under NTR farmers, tenants, workers, agricultural workers, folk united forum introduced Dharna in Dharna Chowk, Vijayawada.
They demanded that businesses be kept outside agriculture, immediate withdrawal of 50% of Trump tariffs for Indian exports, cancellation of free trade agreements (FTA) and cancellation of four working codes. Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sabha National General Secretary of Ravula Venkayy called the tariff – allegedly in retaliation for India importing Russian oil – “arrogant” and sought the parliamentary debate about all FTA.
