PM Modi, leaders wish Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath on his birthday

Leaders from across the country, especially the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), greeted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on his 54th birthday on Friday (June 5, 2026).

Many saffron party leaders said the UP CM had brought “good governance to the ground”, with Mr Adityanath’s supporters hoping to see him rise further in Indian politics.

“All wishes to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji on his birthday. His work towards the progress of the state is remarkable. He has always focused on improving the quality of life of the people and ensuring all-round growth. Praying for his long and healthy life,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X.

In his greeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Happiest birthday wishes to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath ji. Under the leadership of Modi ji, the twin engine state government is setting new standards of good governance and public welfare. I pray to God for your good health and long life.”

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president and former four-time UP CM Mayawati wrote on X, “My heartiest congratulations to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Yogi Adityanath ji on his birthday today and also wish him a healthy and long life.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described Mr. Adityanath as a popular and hardworking Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. “Heartiest birthday wishes to Yogi Adityanath, the popular and hard-working Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Under his leadership, Uttar Pradesh has achieved remarkable achievements in the areas of good governance, security, development and public welfare. As a result of his determination and tireless hard work, Uttar Pradesh today is rapidly progressing on the path of longevity, progress and prosperity. For public service,” Mr. Singh said.

Mr. Adityanath, who also represented Gorakhpur five times in the Lok Sabha, was born on June 5, 1972 in Panchur village in Pauri Garhwal (now in Uttarakhand) and planted trees to celebrate World Environment Day on his birthday.
