
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized a “fruitful” telephone interview with President Uzbek Shavat Mirziyoyev and reviewed the state of India-Sbekistan strategic partnership and examined the ways of deepening cooperation in trade, linking, health, technology and people.
The call, initiated by the Uzbek aside, comes only three days before the high -ranking summit on Alaska, where US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to discuss the possible solutions to the war of Ukraine.

President Mirziyoyev extended greetings of independence of M modi and India and described India as a key partner in the development and stability of Central Asia.
PM Modi, in turn, emphasized “age ties” connecting these two nations and agreed to maintain regular contact about regional and global matters of mutual interest.
India-zebeck business relationships
In recent years, India – Uzbekistan has been constantly growing, driven by additional economic forces and a common interest in diversification markets.
Bilateral trade focuses on pharmacies, machines, textiles, agricultural products and IT services, with India exporting medicines, engineering goods and consumer products, while importing raw materials, minerals and cotton from Uzbekistan.
The aim of connection initiatives, such as the international transport corridor North -south Transport Corridor (InstC) and proposed direct air freight links, is to overcome the lack of shared boundaries of both countries.
Both parties also explored cooperation in the area of renewable energy, agro -process and tourism, signaling the ambitions to move bilateral volumes of trade above the current modest level and place Uzbekistan as a key gate for Indian goods to Central Asia.
How important could Uzbekistan for a shop?
Uzbekistan has a strategic position, connects South Asia with the heart of Central Asia and shares historical, economic and security ties with Russia and the West.
The Uzbekistan geographical position gives it a considerable geopolitical lever effect. As a double inland country bordering on Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, it serves as a key transit center connecting the heart -rich heart with markets in South Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Uzbekistan position along the developing traffic corridors, including those associated with the Chinese initiative for belts and roads and various regional rail and road networks, making it an important player in forming shops and energy flows after Eurasia.
