The minister ordered the clearing of pending agricultural energy connections

Power Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has directed officials to immediately impose sanctions on all pending agricultural power connections across the state. During a teleconference with CMDs of DISCOMs on Monday, Mr. Ravi Kumar directed them to take steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply to domestic, commercial and industrial consumers throughout the season. The minister said that despite the rising demand for electricity in summer, consumers should not face any inconvenience and officials must ensure uninterrupted and reliable supply of electricity. Mr. Ravi Kumar further directed that in case of any technical fault leading to power interruption, the consumers should be informed immediately and restoration work should be initiated on war footing to resolve the issues at the earliest. In view of the prevailing weather conditions and extreme temperatures, he warned that incidents such as transformer failure may occur at several places. He also reviewed the progress of key programs of the central and state governments including Prime Minister Surya Ghar, Prime Minister Kusuma and RDSS and instructed the officials to achieve the targets within the stipulated time frames.
