The younger generation took over the leadership of the anniversary of the movement of India, and on Saturday it made floral offers in the bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Subbarayanakere.
Activists and students gathered a silent memory of the historical call to liberation from the British when Mahatma Gandhi gave an India’s call on August 8, 1942 in Mumbai (then Bombay), while the movement officially begins on August 9, 1942.
This opportunity was also remembered by the main Minister Siddaramaiaha, who was in the city on Saturday. He greeted his greetings of people, remembered the Indian movement and victims of millions that culminated in a country that gained independence from the British government.
The movement of India was also the last phase of fighting with Indian freedom; But it is even more important for Cape, because it announced the entrance to the mainstream of the national movement against the British imperialism.
Historians attribute the late entry of the Mysur region to the Freedom Movement to the benevolent nature of the government of the last Wadiyar, which provided suspension from the Despotism of the British government.
Mysore Gazetteer notes that national consciousness has already penetrated the masses in the early 20 years and inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, there was a social movement promoting “Khadi”, looking for a ban on alcohol, promotion of Swadeshi goods, etc. Etc. Ramacandra Rao Tagadur started the Khaddar movement to popularize the use of “khadi” to help the rural communities gain a living, which is the cause supported by Mahatma Gandhi, who visited Mysur twice.
When the call of India was issued, the student community and activists in the mushroom was in the foreground and inspired by the national tide, the region witnessed the assembly, processions and strokes.
The decade of foundation made to improve social conditions has also paved the way of sub -current of nationalist sentiments and culminated in the participation of students in a large way.
Until recently, the anniversary of the important events associated with the fight of freedom was decorated with a generation that participated in these events.
