US Senator Lindsey Graham called on India and said “one of the most important things” that the nation could do to “improve relations in India and the US” is “help President Trump” “blood part in Ukraine”.
He urged India to use her “influence” to help Trump end the “blood bath” in Ukraine.
Graham responded to Friday’s telephone interview between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin and expressed hope that PM Modi was pushing Putin to “end this war in Ukraine fairly, honestly and forever.”
Trump’s tariffs
The US senator’s notes came in the middle of tensions between India and the US over 50% by Trump’s tariff threat to all Indian goods.
The sweat, through the fiery truth of the social contribution, which was made on July 30, ordered another 25 % tariff to Indian goods, with citing high business barriers of India, increasing the overall obligation to Indian export to 50 %. He also announced another “punishment” for the Indian continuing energy and defense ties with Russia.
Donald Trump criticized countries that bought oil from Russia, and last month warned to store 100% of tariffs, along with secondary sanctions for trading in nations, if Russia refused to agree to a peace agreement in the conflict of Ukraine.
Call PM Modi with Putin
In the middle of the ongoing tariff tension, PM Modi spoke on Friday with Putin and promised stronger bonds of India-Russia.
After the call of the Prime Minister’s office, he revealed that President Putin reported Prime Minister Modi about “the latest development of Ukraine”.
“I thanked him for sharing the latest development in Ukraine,” PM Modi said.
Graham’s earlier warning
Previously, the Senator “warned” European nations against obtaining Russian oil through India and called on this practice.
“It is highly appreciated for my European friends who helped Ukraine. However, it will not get lost to me or others that you are buying oil from India – that India originally purchased from Russia,” the Senator wrote at X.
“We are watching. That must stop right away,” Lindsey Graham said.
