Party founder Jan Suuraj and former political strategist Prashant Kishor on Friday (August 8, 2025) was accused by head of leader Bihar Bharatiya Janat (BJP) against the state Minister of Health and state Minister Bharatiya Janat. BJP replied by asked Mr. Kishor to present evidence and described his statement as “frivolous”.
“BJP leaders in Bihar say they are immaculate, but in fact they are more corrupt than even Chief Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Lalu Prasad, who likes to attack in various cases of fraud,” he said at the press conference in Patna. Currently, the state under the banner of Bihar Poadloav Yatra (Change Bihar Journey) is traveling under the Barga Battalion.
Mr. Kishhor started on October 2, 2022, Jan Suraj Abhiyan with a Padyatra of Bhitiharwa Ashram Mahatma Gandhi in West Champaran and covered over 5,000 km. 2 October 2024 formally floated the party Jan Suuraj, who was assigned by the Election Commission as a “school bag” as its electoral symbol. He claimed that the party would provide voters in Bihar “The third political alternative”.
In 2024, the party attacked the assault in the elections in Imamganj, Tarari, Belaganj and Ramgarh, but could not get any chair, even though his candidates contributed to the defeat of the RJD in his fortress Belaganj and Ramgarh. Mr. Kishhor announced that the party would attack all 243 assembly chairs scheduled for October-November this year.
Accusations against BJP leaders
Mr. Kishhor claimed that the State Minister of Health Mangal Pandey and BJP’s state chief Dilip Jaiswal were involved in “financial inconsistencies”. “Mr. Jaiswal transferred 6 August 2019 25 to Mr. Pandey’s father’s account and this money was used to buy an apartment in Dwar-6 Delhi on behalf of the then Minister of Health,” he said, displaying documents related to the register of this apartment.
He also said that during the Covid-19 pandemic: “When the whole world faced a pandemic, the Minister of Health in the state was busy buying an apartment in Delhi.”
“Even though Mr. Pandey borrowed money from Mr. Jaiswal as a loan, why didn’t he mention it in his election honorary statement by 2020 in the category of” unsecured loan “?” Mr. Kishhor asked.
He also claimed that Mr. Pandey had granted the status “considered at the university” of the Faculty of Medicine, Kishanganji, in which Mr. Jaiswal has “huge shares”.
Mr. Pandey previously served as Minister of Health in previous NDA governments in the state. Mr. Pandey and Mr. Jaiswal were unavailable to express.
Other cited cases
Mr. Kishhor also pointed to the case where Rajsamand Court condemned state development of the city and the Minister of Housing Jibesh Kumar Misra in a 15 -year -old false drug case. Mr. Misra, one of the directors of the Drug Company involved, was placed for a trial period and was not sentenced to prison. Congress demanded its removal from the cabinet for “moral reasons”.
“But the leader BJP continues to be Minister of Minister Nitisha Kumar,” Kishhor said.
BJP reaction
The state spokesman for BJP Neera Kumar rejected the accusation and said, “If Mr. Kishor has documents to prove his accusations against the leaders of our parties, he should show us. Nowadays he has a habit against someone.”
