Kerala Ullada Mahasabha filed a complaint to the State Commission for the planned caste and planned tribes, which claimed that the forest department discriminated against tribal forests (BFO) on the basis of caste. The organization claimed that officials indicate “special recruitment” (SR) in addition to the designation of the Tribal BFOS when completing the graph of duties in the “General Diary”, an official document.
In April 2022, the state government appointed 500 ordinary forest officers through a special recruitment throughout the state, with the exception of Alappuzha.
“The Slovakia is marked in addition to the names of the tribal officers in the general diary. This is a clear case of discrimination against tribal bfos. Mahasabha filed a complaint against a commission that required such practice,” said Mohanan NR, Kerala Mahasabha assistant.
1 August 2023 issued another main main forest conservator P. Pukazhenthi command, stating that only the recruitment process varies for tribal BFOs and others. “The conditions of wages and services, transfer, promotion, timely higher levels and other laws and rules are the same for all BFOS,” the command said.
Mohanan said the officials violated the order and claimed that all the tribal BFOs across the state were facing this discrimination. “They are afraid to file complaints against these practices. We have received copies of a general diary with a” SR “designation through the Party of the Act on Information. They were also submitted to the Commission. Minister of Forest and Government should intervene on this matter and end and terminate such discrimination, ”he said.
Meanwhile, Forest Intelligence officials said they have not yet received such complaints. “We will put the probe into a problem and take further steps when we receive a complaint,” the clerk said.
