
Minister for Local Municipalities MB Rajesh said that the efforts to hand over the new generation of the new generation will be intensified within the wider government initiative to ensure the comprehensive development of indigenous communities in the state.
As part of the international day of the world’s indigenous people in the world, he spoke to the state inauguration of Jan Gals.
The Minister said Kudumbashree’s work has been exemplary since 2009 on tribal prosperity. He stressed that the government carried out integrated projects to improve lives and the livelihood of tribal populations.
Mr. Rajesh stressed key achievements and said that the special system of the planned tribe, which was launched in Attappadi in 2013 and expanded the national entrepreneurs in 2016, improved the access of ordinary entrepreneurs on the market. Products such as Hill from Attappadi, “van dhan” from Wayanad and “Gamthe” from Nilambur, now compete with the main brands.
Currently, 98% of the tribal families in the state are part of the neighborhood groups Kudumbshree. A total of 1,2904 families are connected through 7 135 general and special groups. As part of the employment generation, the training was provided by 2,893 tests for the public service Commission (PSC) and 193 of them provided jobs, while 394 found a place in the rank list. In addition, 1,480 people found their jobs through Deen Dayal UPAPHYaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana.
The Minister also stated that increased livelihood opportunities were extended to agricultural and animal breeding sectors. Key projects such as Tribal Enterprise and Innovation Center Kudumbashree, Communicore, Kanas Jaga 2.0 (to support creativity in children) and community cuisine will be more energetic in the coming months.
