
West Indies was a swing injury before their Odi series against Pakistan, because Matthew Ford’s rapid pitching was expelled from rubber due to shoulder injury. Forde dislocated the left shoulder while trying to catch during the training before the series.
The right shoulder sailor was replaced by the versatile Johann Layn in the group before the first ODI against Pakistan on August 8 at Brian Lara, Tarouba, Trinidad.
“Updating injuries. The Pacer Academy West Indies Johann Layne will replace Matthew Ford in the group for three matches against Pakistan, which begins on Friday. Forde dislocated the left shoulder while trying to catch during Wednesday training,” West India cricket said on their X account.
21 -year -old Johann Layne has to make his debut and earned on the back of some decent performances for West Indies and against South Africa A. Layne, won 124 runs and chose 13 goals from 12 matches.
Meanwhile western India will be echoed after returning to the ODI series afterwards Pakistan closed the rubber T20i by 2-1. Head coach Darren Sammy expressed his excitement before ODI and mentioned its importance for automatic qualifications for the ODI World Cup.
“Pakistan is a different test and challenge because we continue pressure to automatically qualify for the World Championship in 2027.
