The General Secretary of the Congress Trinamool and the leader of the party at Lok Sabha Abhishek Banerjee on Thursday (August 7, 2025) killed the election commission (EC) and accused her of negotiations outside her jurisdiction.
“They go overboard. ES must also understand that it is an impartial and impartial organization, and must work while staying in the extent of the constitution,” Mr. Banerjee told media persons while going to Delhi.
Congress Head of Trinamool said that EC liability will only be launched if the model code of behavior is introduced and the survey body would take over the civil and criminal/police administrative machines in their hands to be free, fair and impartial.
Mr. Banerjee’s notes came the day after the main minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee said that they would not allow the ES to suspend any government officials. 5th August EC sent a letter to the main secretary of West Bengal, who directed the suspension of four officials connected to the main election official (CEO) of the state.
“Our officers were sent to warn that they were suspended. Elections have been announced? You send notifications according to this law and threaten to suspend and say that it should be registered. EC accused EC of work at BJP.
Mr. Banerjee, a deputy Diamond Harbor, accused EC of playing “active and shameless roles” in denial of legitimate voters their democratic rights. “Now the EC has taken over a shameless role to catch the voting rights of real voters,” he said.
Later, Mr. Banerjee met Lok Sabha Om Birla spokesman. Trinamool’s leader said his party wanted the house to work. “We were looking for a discussion of a special intense revision (sir). Our deputies have provided postponing in the last 4-5 days. They demanded discussions, but the center would not allow it. We said that if necessary discuss with the center and then allow us to discuss the sires,” he added.
