Keral Police received a legal opinion that the film director of Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s claim that aspiring filmmakers from marginalized parts of society and women should undergo intensive training as a prerequisite for the use of state resources allocated for films and documents with artistic and social values.
Police sought the opinion of the District Prosecutor after Social Activist Din Veyil registered a complaint at the police station Musuem, who accused Mr. Gopalakrishnan of recently expressed a deeply discriminatory caste preference that has recently been organized by state governments.
Mr. Veyil demanded that the Police Book of Mr. GoPalakrishnan on the basis of accusations of violating the provisions of the planned caste and the planned tribe (prevention of atrocities) of 1989.
Representative of the Police Commissioner (Law and Order), Thiruvananthapuram City, Rajendra Deshmukh confirmed the Hindus that a government lawyer believed that there was no “legal basis against Gopalakrishnan).
Another officer who opposed this process said that the prosecutor said Mr. GoPalakrishnan’s notes did not focus on specific individuals or community. The prosecutor believed that Mr. GoPalakrishnan’s view of the training of newcomers in filmmaking before providing public funding, he did not meet the legal criterion of caste. The prosecutor stated that the detailed examination of Mr. Veyil’s complaint did not reveal any evidence that would guarantee the registration of the case against Mr. Gopalakrishhnan.
However, the legal threat to Mr. GoPalakrishnan seemed far from. Several activists have indicated that they will file a criminal decision on criminal proceedings with the court court, which requires the prosecution of filmmakers.
The planned caste and the planned Minister of Social Security of the Straums or Keel said that the ministry has received several complaints and examines the matter with the necessary seriousness. The state of Kerala planned a caste and the planned commission for tribes of the tribe applied for a report from the police. In addition, several female activists asked the female commission of Keraral, who accused Mr. GoPalakrishnan of Misogyna.
